Kathryn Final, Registered Homeopath
Kathryn is originally from Toronto and has made her way across Canada not only to enjoy small town living in Powell River, but to also serve the community with her knowledge and experience. Her interest in Homeopathy stemmed from the desire to seek out alternative methods of healing the body and mind, after many years of unsuccessful treatments using conventional western medicine. Through dealing with hormonal, nutritional and chemical imbalances, in addition to recovering from a severe car accident, Kathryn found Homeopathic medicine to be an extremely safe, effective and gentle option that provided the body with the healing she needed to move forward. From this experience, she developed a passion for helping others overcome their suffering. She welcomes people from all walks of life in to her practice, and has a special interest in women’s conditions, musculoskeletal injuries and those challenged by psychological disorders.
Kathryn’s training in Classical Homeopathy emphasizes spending as much time as it takes to gather all the necessary information about a person’s present and past, in relation to their current complaints, and then providing a treatment plan that encompasses a remedy prescription and nutritional advice, as required. The person is treated as a whole, connecting the mental, emotional and physical levels, to get to the root cause of disease. This holistic approach ensures all aspects of a person’s condition are investigated and considered thoroughly, in order to match the most appropriate remedy to the patient’s symptoms. This method of intensive case taking not only allows for a more comprehensive approach to healing, but also provides an exclusive opportunity for patients to become informed and empowered about their health.
In addition, Kathryn is a certified Yoga Teacher, registered with the Yoga Alliance. Her unique combination of training in Homeopathic Medicine and Hatha Yoga has resulted in profound knowledge and insight into the anatomy and physiology of the human condition. With a sharp mind and compassionate heart, Kathryn aims to encourage, support and educate her patients on their journey towards optimal health.
